The question was raised on the chat box concerning consolidation of all fire and EMS in the county. By and large what you see now is what you'll probably see in the future. Creation of a fire district which encompassed all fire and EMS would be a logistical nightmare. Local governments leery of county take over would be the first hurdle. A levy of some sort would have to be floated which would probably mean that many would be paying more than they are now. Complaints would then rise from those who have 12 runs a year vs. those who have 200 runs a year. It would take more than one chief to run the service. Probably a fire and EMS chief daily as well as a training officer. Bottom line is that you will probably see this all happen the year after the consolidation of all schools in the county happens.azm
